A pleasant surprise arrived at my door this morning: my Innocent World order! These specific items were bought to fill in the missing pieces of my wardrobe, making it more whole. As I mentioned much earlier (the first post), underskirts are becoming a huge trend in lolita fashion, with the brand BABY, THE STARS SHINE BRIGHT leading the way. Innocent World has always provided underskirts, but they never blossomed into a trend, unfortunately. If you want a wallet-friendly underskirt, the 'Chinese eBay', Taobao, should have plenty. One in particular is very popular. It serves as both a petticoat and a underskirt. You can find it at http://little-dipper.taobao.com/.
Here is a list of my order:Bolero x 2
Over-the-Knee Socks x 3
Wrist Cuffs
Underskirt
Headbow
Arm Cover with Heart Charm
Chocolat×Beige×Beige
Antique Playing Cards Series
Adds great detail to a beige and brown coordinate with a hint of gold. Match dresses like Angelic Pretty's Chess Chocolate (all colors) or their Wonder Queen special set in brown.
Anna Maria Head Bow
Cafe au Lait×Beige
Carousel of Paris Series
I've been patiently waiting for a 'cafe au lait' colored headbow for quite some time now. I think it'll match perfectly with my Ashley Embroidery jumperskirt. Although i do wish it was cafe au lait and brown instead of beige for a better match.
Violin Overknee Socks
Black×Cafe au Lait (Left)
Chocolat×Cafe au Lait (Right)
Tiny Heart Ballerina Overknee Socks
Black×Beige
Ballerina Series
I think this is a classic Innocent World OTK sock design. Innocent World has a reputation with using crisscross ribbons and bows on their socks, so you can't go wrong with these! Perfect for a black coordinate with a hint of beige. Show off the ribbons with a pair of low top-line Mary Janes!
Chiffon Petticoat
Beige
Two other types of underskirts were released along with this one, all in beige. One had doted tulle lace, which is nice for a more transparent look. It was priced 300 yen higher than the underskirt I picked. The other was the most expensive using Innocent World's signature rose tulle lace, retailing for 9,500 yen, approx. $95. It is great for a over-the-top classic look.
This is perfect for Innocent World jumperskirts and skirts that don't have lace detailing on the ends. What I like about Victorian Maiden spring dresses are the chiffon ruffles some of the dresses have. I think its a detail that makes the dress that much appealing. Although beige is the most common color Innocent World uses because it makes coordinating Innocent World pieces that much easier, it would be nice to have colored underskirts. I would enjoy pink, brown or black very much.
Rose Lace Millefeuille Bolero
Pink×Pink (Left)
Black×Black (Right)
These type of boleros are one of Innocent World's signature items. Every lolita that loves Innocent World has one. Classic lolita dresses are very commonly paired with these type of boleros. However, the pink is a uncommon color to come by, as is the black. I must admit, that is the sole reason why I purchased both of them. I knew it would be a long while before I see them for sale again.
